Welcome to my world.  I love what I do and I wouldn’t change a thing about my chosen career.  How did I get here?  Well, it’s a long story filled with two loving parents, two crazy little sisters, an awesome huband, three amazing little boys + one newly added baby GIRL and most importantly, Jesus.

I grew up in the country….good ol’ Russellville, MO.  I was raised here and I came back here to raise my children.  I love, love, LOVE outdoor images.  I don’t mind crawling in the weeds (I prefer it actually) to get the amazing shot of your family holding hands in a wide open field.  I will hang upside down in a tree if it means capturing a giant smile on your one year old’s face.  I’ve waded in creek water, wrestled with pets, and have been peed, pooped and spit-up on more than I can count.  It doesn’t matter.  My passion lies in capturing the special glimpses in time.  The moments you swear you will NEVER forget, but fade away with the years.  I want you to remember your daughter’s sweet little eye lashes, the way your little boy smiles at at the sight of his mama’s face.  Nothing is more important than capturing the moments that will be gone all too soon.

I know a thing or two about kiddos. In fact, I actually went to college to teach elementary school.  I have a degree in education and my passion is working with children.  I love them; so much, in fact, that I was crazy enough to have three kids  in five years (hello Larison boys!) And in 2017, our family was surprised to welcome a sweet baby girl to our lives! God has truly blessed my husband and I with four amazing little people.  They are full of energy (I should be REALLY skinny trying to keep up with them) but they totally amaze me each day with the lessons they teach.  Once my first son arrived, I knew that I had to find a way to stay home with him each and every day.  Enter PHOTOGRAPHY.

So here’s some stuff you need to know about me:

I am self taught.

I am a jokester (cracking jokes and being silly is my thing.)

I love natural light (why mess with what God has created with so perfectly already?)

I love to talk. A whole bunch.

I am always googling, searching, spotting new ways to please and excite my clients.

I do not like boring.

I do not like generic.

I can never shut my brain off (I promise I lie in bed each night thinking of new ideas; bugging my husband to build some new prop to use in a shoot.)

I like my clients to be surprised.  I want them to be as excited as I am for picture day (yes, even dads.)  Family photo day doesn’t have to be stressful (I can’t speak for the hour before the shoot…I take no part in that!)  I strive to make the sessions fun, energetic and lighthearted.  Ever heard the saying “if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”  Well, it works the same with kids on picture day.  If they “ain’t happy”– nobody (including the photographer) –is going to be happy either.

Thanks for taking the time to read about me.  I would love to learn more about you!  I can’t wait to work with you soon!
